Stephanie Bedford joined Borakove Osman LLC as a paralegal in 2017. She is a third-generation Madisonian whose grandfather Jack Harrington practiced law here and patronized the Village Bar with equal zest and enthusiasm for over 50 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree, M.F.A., and law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, at which point she was informed that they were no longer willing to educate her any further. In law school, she participated in Moot Court, the Immigration Law Project, and Legal Aid to Institutionalized Persons and graduated on the Dean’s List. Following law school, Stephanie clerked for the Dane County Circuit Court and the Wisconsin Court of Appeals.
Stephanie has made the return to law after taking time away from practice to raise two equally remarkable sons. At Borakove Osman LLC, she assists partners Shayna W. Borakove, Esq. and Peter C. Osman, Esq. and concentrates on probate, and estate and trust administration, and in her capacity as a paralegal helps families navigate the complexities of managing their loved one’s estate. She also assists Attorney Shayna W. Borakove in the business practice and farm continuation area of the firm.
In her free time, Stephanie likes to bake, cook, and dine out. A former restaurant columnist for the Capital Times, she takes a keen interest in new restaurants and food events and can regularly be found exploring Madison’s taquerias and craft cocktail bars and helping the partners interpret menus. She also enjoys running, biking, and swimming, but not triathlons – yet.
